BCH of North Georgia has taken an active role in spreading the word about "Leave No Trace."  We hope to raise public awareness and the ethics of forest users in the Chattahoochee NF by holding Awareness Workshops and "Train the Trainers" classes.  It is important to emphasize how one person's behavior can have a profound affect on the recreational experiences of others, as well as the condition and appearance of our forest.

In May 2009, President Melinda Towe and Secretary Susan Shedd flew to Montana for a LNT Master Educators (Stock) Class.  Completion of this class has enabled them to train others to teach LNT Awareness Workshops.

Our 1st "Train the Trainers" class was held in November 2009.  We were privileged to have Robert (Bob) Wagner, BCHA LNT Program Manager here to help kick off our LNT Teaching Careers.

If you are a member of an organization, school or club that would like to have us present a "Train the Trainers" class or "Awareness Workshop," please contact us.  We appreciate the opportunity to spread the word.  Our Awareness Workshops can be as short as an hour or so and "Train the Trainers" classes are a two day class that involve an overnight camping excursion.
